KK Animal Nutrition
is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kemira GrowHow
and operates within the Animal Nutrition business
unit. KK Animal Nutrition serves the markets outside
of Europe and is a major manufacturer and supplier
of animal feed ingredients (feed phosphates, feed-grade
urea, molasses byproduct powder and feed-grade
sulphur) which are sold to the animal feed industry
both locally and internationally.
The joint venture between Kemira and Kynoch is
limited to the formation of KK Animal Nutrition
and there is no exchange of share holding between
the parent companies. KK Animal Nutrition is owned
in equal shares by both Kemira Chemicals and Kynoch
Feeds.
The production
units, situated at Umbogintwini, manufacture mono-
and dicalcium phosphates, ruminant mineral lick
concentrates as well as dried molasses byproducts.
The high quality phosphate rock deposits found
in South Africa enable KK Animal Nutrition to
manufacture feed phosphates of the highest quality.
KK Animal Nutrition is also the main supplier
of feed-grade urea to the Southern African feed
industry. The company is actively involved in
research and development programmes to improve
and expand its product range to meet the changing
demands of the market.
KK Animal Nutrition
will act as the marketing arm of both Kemira and
Kynoch on the International markets and will source
products from the respective parent companies
production facilities in Northern Europe and South
Africa, Technical Support will be provided by
the parent companies.
As a result of
the establishment of KK Animal Nutrition, Kynoch
Feeds operations through KYNOCH INTERNATIONAL
LTD in the Isle of Man will be terminated.
KK Animal Nutrition
has appointed Gulf Markets International WLL of
Bahrain as the sole agent for the Middle East.
